    Pivot tables and labels

    Hi,

I'm looking for a method to populate row labels in pivot table, in such a way, that would not leave blank cells in the main column

    See attached.

    Hi,

I think you can't do that with a pivot table, because you can't modify those cells. However, if you copy the whole pivot table to an empty range, you can fill in the blanks in the first column. So, here's the deal

    1. copy the whole pivot table to an empty range (paste values)
    2. select the column which you want to populate
    3. hit ctrl + G, then alt + S, then K
    4. hit = , then up arrow, then ctrl + Enter
    5. copy the column, paste it back to the same place (paste values)
    6. done

Actually I didn't come up with this by myself, here's my source: http://www.mrexcel.com/articles/fill...lank-cells.php
