SumIF formula with criteria is Text inside a Formula?

If I have a ="Date: "&TEXT(B90," mm/dd/yy ")&SUM(C91:C102) inside Column C but I want a Total Cell in column D to Sum data above in column D, where a specific Text is inside column C... how would that work?

This is not working =SUMIF(C6:C102,"D*",D:D)

You can't mix ranges, they need to be the same size.

=SUMIF(C6:C102,"D*",D6:D102)

thanks Jeff, i tried that it still does not seem to find the rows with the Text inside the Cell/Formula of "Date". Everything eighth rows ( could vary later) has this formula in it:

="Date: "&TEXT(A104," ")&" Total: "&SUM(C92:C103)

How to mark a thread Solved
Go to the first post
Click edit
Click Go Advanced
Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
Change to Solved
Click Save
