Wrong result with IF formula

Hi:

I am using IF function in excel and it is giving wrong result.
Please refer to attached excel sheet and help me with what i am doing wrong.

TRUE is treated as a "Boolean" value not text, so you need to remove the quotes, try

=IF(A1=TRUE,100,0)

after some testing I realized that you should leave out the quotation marks. Around TRUE and FALSE. Likes this:

For some strange reason excel handles these words differently. Look at A1 and B1: they are centered by default, not formatted like normal text cells. I don't know why. Maybe because these are reserved words with more meaning than just ordinary text.

edit: looks like daddylonglegs nailed it. :D
