    Picking Numeric character from alphanumeric in a cell?

    dear all,

    help me to sort a cell value having alphanumeric characters into numeric character.

    Example:
    1. 1525 Plastic chair set black
    2. Plastic cot 2405 set gery
    3. steel door white 2004 piece.

    i need to get in next cell value as
    1. 1525
    2. 2405
    3. 2004

    only the code through which the materials are identified.

    Try

    With you values starting in A1

    =LOOKUP(99^99,--("0"&MID(A1,MIN(SEARCH({0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9},A1&"0123456789")),ROW($1:$10000))))

    To be quite honest, not so good at explaining a formula like this, but what I would have to do you should be able to do also.

    Formulas Tab >> Formula Auditing >> Evaluate Formula

    If you are satisfied with the solution(s) provided, please mark your thread as Solved.

    New quick method:
    Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved. To undo, select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

    Or you can use this way:

    How to mark a thread Solved
    Go to the first post
    Click edit
    Click Go Advanced
    Just below the word Title you will see a dropdown with the word No prefix.
    Change to Solved
    Click Save
