    Match values then multiply

Hi, I am unable to find the errors in my formula. Here is what I need to do:

Sheet 1 has values in row A2:W2 and column B

Sheet 2: Needs to match the values located in row A2:W2 and column B with the respective values in sheet 1.

The formula will be used in sheet 2. After it matches the values as described above it looks at the values in the corresponding cells in sheet 1 (eg sheet 1, E10) and multiplies it by the number located in sheet 2 row 3 (eg E3).

    Thanks you for your help

    Re: Match values then multiply

unless you have uploaded the wrong file, what you want does not match what you posted. Sheet1 row 2 has no data

anyway, to retrieve data from sheet1 based on sheet2, use this...
    =INDEX(Sheet1!$A$1:$D$5,MATCH($A3,Sheet1!$A$1:$A$5,0),MATCH(C$1,Sheet1!$A$1:$D$1,0))
you can then apply that answer to whichever values you want

    hope that helps
