A formula needed to provide answers to variables (not sure that explains it)

I have a table of data. The data in Column H is obtained from a drop down list. I want the data in Column I to be determined by what has been chosen in Column H. i.e. If Column H is shoes then Column I will be blue, but If Column H is pants, then Column I will be yellow. I have 8 variables in the drop down in Column H and they are text variables. Can this be done as an IF/THEN formula?

    Hello
It can be done with an IF statement but if you have 8 variables it would probably be better to use a lookup table with the VLOOKUP function.
