Copying Conditional Formatting

Using Excel 2007 for Windows I have set conditional formatting for a row so that when one value in the row meets a certain condition, the entire row is highlighted. When I try to copy this conditional format to another row, both rows will be highlighted when the condition is triggered in either row. I can set the conditional formatting for each individual row, but this is cumbersome as I have several hundred rows to format.

    Problem solved.

    Re: Copying Conditional Formatting

    2 ways to do this.

    1. before setting CF, highlight the range you want to apply it to (best done this way if you have not already started applying CF)
    2. select a cell that has already been CF'd, go into the CF main menu, and on the right, you will see the range that the CF is applied to. change the range there

edit: it has been noted that 2007 has problems with CF when you copy (a formula, for instance) a cell with CF to another cell that also has CF. it tends to double and triple up on the CF
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
