Help me fix the SUM formula pls!

Can someone help me figure out what im doing wrong with this formula pls?
I have attached the workbook for my football pool spreadsheet. In cell A38 of the "Scores" sheet, I want to compare the picks A21:A36 with the actual winners F2:F17 and return the SUM of winners picked. I copied a formula from a worksheet i have seen on a similar thread, but it doesnt work for me. Please Help!!!

you are trying to sum names together...what answer were you expecting?

I would like a SUM of how many of "Eric's" picks (A21:A36) match the "Winners" (F2:F17). So A38 should have a value of 8.

aahh ok so you want to COUNT the matches?

when you enter that formula, enter using ctrl shift enter, it is an array formula
