    VLOOKUP returning all correct values except the first.

    Hi,

    I realize VLOOKUP is beat to death daily but I have searched here and still don't have my solution. it's a simple lookup with likely a simple solution. The lookup works fine except the first value. Also, the results vary if I were to move the vlookup table up or down by any amount of rows, can someone explain this to me?

    Kyle,

    Your VLookup formula isn't looking for exact matches. Adjust the formula in cell C3 to the following:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    The only difference is that the VLookup formula now has the 4th argument specified as a 0 (which tells the formula to look for an exact match) instead of omitting the 4th argument entirely. Make the same change in D3 and E3 and then copy the formulas down.
