Copy and paste only one part of a formula

How can I copy and paste only one part of a formula, from one cell to another?

    Example:

    Formula in A2 is =C2*E2

I want formula in B2 to be =D2*E2

I want formula in A3 to be =C3*E2

    In other words, I want:

    A2 to be =C2 * E2
    A3 to be =C3 * E2

    B2 to be =D2 * E2
    B3 to be =D3 * E2

However, when copy the formula in A2 ( =C2*E2 ) to A3 it becomes =C3*E3

    This is wrong since I want A3 to be =C3 * E2

I do NOT want to manually adjust every formula so it multiplies with E2 instead of the corresponding row number (E3, E4, E5, E6 etc)

How can I copy and paste in such a manner?

I have attached a screen shot of how I want it to be (just by copying and pasting one formula)

    Thank you for your support!

Try Absolute Referencing by using "$" symbol.

So in A2 use the formulaC2*$E$2 and copy this to down. In cell A3 you will see C3*$E$2

    Hope this helps.
