Hi,
Is it possible to convert a decimal number in excel to a base 5 number. Or is there a way to have excel treat numbers entered as base 5 instead of base 10?
Thanks,
Dave

How big will the numbers be (base 10)? Excel doesn't have a built in method of handling base 5 numbers. I'm thinking you'll need a few User Defined Functions.

Hi,
Excel can convert Base 10 to any base using the "Base()" function.

Does that help?

@MarvinP If the OP's profile is correct he has Excel 2003 The base() function was not introduced until Excel 2013
This is a post from 2012. I don't know how Marvin drudged it up.
Oops, yes - I didn't notice!
