Straight Line Formula based on exact date of purchase

What formula would I use to calculate straight line depreciacion based on the exact day of purchase? I have attached an Excel Workbook that provides the Acquisition Date, Cost, Estimated life and salvage value. I am wanting to calculate the SL depreciation each year since purchase.
    Thanks in advance

I'm not sure what you want to achieve.

I used pivot table to get this result.

Re: Straight Line Formula based on exact date of purchase

I am looking to have the following calculation on the actual spreadsheet. Under Column L, total amount of depreciation for each individual item in 2004. Ultimatly row 7 was purchased on 3/29/07, I am basically looking at calculating the total depreciation from that exact day for 2004, 2005, 2006..... This is straight line so ultimatly each day the item depreciates the same amount for 5 years straight having no value in the end.
    Thanks for your help.

Maybe this makes more sense. If you see the attached, the blue is calculated by month, I am wanting to know how to do the same but by day (in red). So if I change the date by a couple days the formula would recalculate and I would get a different number for the first and last year of the depreciation period.

The example makes it clear for me.

Unfortunally, I have no solution for your problem.

If anyone knows how to do this and thinks it would work by using a 360-day year, with 30 days allocated to each month, I would be happy with that.
