SUMIF only if matching a date criteria

Hello,

I am having a tough time allocating tallied data into the appropriate date it was booked on or consumed.

my data sheet look something like this....

Rooms sold Stay Date Rate Code RATE
1 11/12/12 REGF 219.00
3 11/15/12 REGA 209.00
4 11/21/12 CORF 199.00
1 12/1/12 LRTA 139.00
1 12/13/12 GENR 129.00
2 11/22/12 REGF 119.00

Currently I have a SUMIF formula to get the total rooms sold per rate code...but I can't break it out by stay date...


I want the total rooms sold per date for each rate code ....and if I could find a way to add the average rate for those rooms booked at the rate program for the day that would be icing on the cake.

Thank you for prompt response. I did the pivot table previously...but am looking for more of a calendar style and pulling from a data workbook.
