    Combine two sheets

    Hi,

Im not good in excel, VBA or macro, so i don't know how to consolidate the data i have. I just need to present the data so that i will be able to get a summary of units used and wasted with necessary details. i tried pivot but it doesn't seem to work. Please i badly need help. consolidate data function shows sum and other formulas which i think is not what i need.

Your suggestions are very welcome. Please help.

    please see attached. thanks!

    Re: Combine two sheets

I'm not really sure what you need to achieve.

    Maybe start with:

    =IF(IF(B3="","",COUNTIF('Discarded and Transfused'!B:B,Received!B3)),"Trans/Disc","") ... and copy down

This will indicate whether a Received unit has been Transfused or Discarded.

    Or you could use:

=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B3,'Discarded and Transfused'!B2:G581,4,FALSE),"No Record") ... and copy down

which will return the status if a record is present.

    Re: Combine two sheets

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for the sample sheet. It made it a lot easier for me.

Moving forward, what formula can i use if i want to get a daily count of the data based on multiple criteria?

    For example:

Daily Received Sheet - C5 will show the total number of units received on october 1st group A+
Daily discarded & transfused - C5 will show the total number of units discarded on Oct 1st with reason "Expired"

Please help how to write the formula correctly. See attachment

    Thanks!

    Re: Combine two sheets

It looks as though COUNTIFS should do it.

However, if the original question has been answered, you should mark this thread as solved and start a new one for the new question. That way, you'll get more interest.
