Networkdays: Can this be worked out 'backwards'?

Hello. I'm new here, and I have what I hope is a do-able query.

I want to be able to work out the date a certain number of working days before another date. For example: What is the date 11 working days before the 28th of a particular month?

I've had a play with networkdays, but it's all getting a bit convoluted and abstract. Is there anyone out there who can easily crack this one for me, formula-wise? I'd be massively grateful.

    See the WORKDAY function.

Try the NETWORKDAYS function - see attached

Just reread your post - I think I missed the point - regrouping...

Wow Steve, that was fast. You made it look so easy (I won't even show you the mess of cells and formulas I was using, even including networkday or workday; it's just embarrassing!) I'm looking to make a 'predictor' for 2013 months, that will produce a start date a certain number of working days before any end date the user chooses to enter, and you've given me just what I need to make it.

    Thank you very much.

I think I'm going to like this forum...
