avregeing data acording to date and time

Hello , i have a little problem, i want to do a daly averege for all the temperatures recorded in a day and for eatch day i have 4 temperature recordings at 0,6,12,18 ... i tryed differet variations of alot of differet formulas but i failed, and i have data for 12 years from 10 different stations so if you all can be so kind to give a little noob some advice , i wold be very grateful
