If cell a contains text between a range, then cell b should populate x,

    Dear excel gurus,

I need help on the below. My excel sheet contains a drop down list (containing names of cities) on cell A3. I need a formula to say for example,

If cell A3 contains text(mombasa) then cell A4 should select and show the text in L32, and if cell A3 contains text(nairobi) then cell A4 should select and show text in M32, and so on

Any urgent help would be highly appreciated.

    Regards

    Shruti

    Hi Shruti,

    Welcome to the forum.

Do you have any mapping there in cells L32 / M32 etc.. if yes, you can any suitable lookup function ELSE It would be better if you could share a sample workbook. Thanks.
