Billing Month Formula Help

Hi! I need some help on probably what's a simple formula for most of you.

I need to get the billing MONTH/YEAR from a date. The problem I'm having is the billing cycle is the 29th to the 28th...so i just can't pull the month out of it. I was thinking of an IF statement...but I have quite a few months July-December to look at.

For example...the charge is 7/29/12...it would actually have the billing month/year of Aug-12. But if the charge is 7/28/12 the billing month/year would be July-12. Make sense?

So i have a column of dates with MANY months from July-December and I need to pull the billing month out of it. Any help is much appreciated!
