Exclamation Rank values in descending order with duplicates

    Hi and Happy Friday!

I am having trouble coming up with a formula to Rank a set of values. What I want it to do is rank them in descending order, rank the duplicates the same AND then rank the next value the next # if you were to count in descending order starting from 35. Its hard to explain.....Below is an example of what I'm looking for:

    Value Rank
    17 35
    8 34
    7 33
    5 32
    4 31
    4 31
    4 31
    4 31
    4 31
    4 31
    4 31
    3 24
    3 24
    3 24
    2 21
    2 21
    2 21
    2 21
    2 21
    2 21
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    1 15
    0 6
    0 6
    0 6
    0 6
    0 6
    0 6

Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Rank values in descending order with duplicates

almost there but I need it to rank duplicates the same value and resume counting in descending order after each set of duplicates. Right now I do it manually and it would be great if a formula could do the work for me! Referring to the above rank value wont help to determine the rank of the next value. The rank actually is the points our sales team (35 reps) gets depending on their sales position. Out of a possible 35 points. Thanks

The formula I posted gives results identical to those provided in your original post. Is that not what you were looking for?
