Question Referencing Multiple Lists and Static Cells Ordered

Please Login or Register to view this content.
LotHTML!A1 starts the formula and LotHTML!A4 ends the formula. In between, LotCards!A2 counts up to LotCards!A11, LotHTML!A2 is always to the left of LotCards! (except at the start), and LotHTML!A3 is always to the right.

I'm referencing 10 items in LotCards!A2-A11, but what I'd like to do is to be able to reference more or less than 10 items without having to manually add or subtract from the code each time.

There will be alot more columns to reference (LotCards!B2-CF2), all with a different number of items.

This is a tough one to explain, so I hope I made it clear enough. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you could explain what you're trying to do and illustrate with a workbook.

    Re: Here's a Tough One!

Honestly, I didn't know how to categorize my question for the title, so I figured I would try to attract those up for a challenge. My brain is already beginning to fry as from going from an intermediate excel user to advanced over a week's time.

I will try to explain more. I'm referencing a list of items (LotCards!A2-A11) and HTML (LotHTML!A1-A4) in a particular order so that the resulting text string forms part of an HTML table.

The problem is, there is going to be more than one list to reference (for instance: LotCards!B2-B15). I want to have the formula automatically shrink or grow to accomodate whatever quantity I'm referencing in LotCards!.

Sorry again if this isn't the clearest description or title. I'm new to the boards. If you guys need me to upload the excel file let me know.

    Re: Here's a Tough One!

BTW, LotHTML!A1-A4 will always remain A1-A4, even as LotCards!A2 becomes B2 or CF2. Although, I could change that so as the LotHTML! column letters match the LotCards! column letters. That still doesn't change the fact that I need the formula to automatically expand/shrink depending on the quantity of LotCards! cells I'm referencing.

I could also split the formula up into different columns, but right now, I can't visualize how that would work to suit my needs. Any ideas?

as long as the thread title remains unchanged, you will not gat any replies (because ignoring moderators and senior members requests also contravenes the rules lol)

you could perhaps change the title top something you have already said in 1 of your posts...

how to referencing a list of items and HTML

Changed the title, was the other request to share the workbook? If so, I don't see where to do that. Thanks.
