    Sum if based on date

    I tried using the following formula =SUMIF(C3:D10,"today",D3:D10) to get a total based on the current date but excel doesn't seem to recognize it.

    Any suggestions on how to fix the formula, or suggestions on another method.

    Thanks,

    Maybe this is what you want...

    =SUMIF(C3:C10,TODAY(),D3:D10)
    HTH

    Thanks Jeff, that's exactly what I wanted. So tomorrow when the date changes the formula will be zero (unless I add new date), correct?

    Re: Sum if based on date

    That's correct, but if you have 20/12/2012 in column C it will sum column D
