    Proper syntax for LOOKUP

I am trying to create a drop down list of ingredients to a formulation that returns a list of data below. When an ingredient is selected, say silica, it would return values like density, particle size, cost, etc.

I've attached the file so I don't have to type up the coding. Can anyone help? The inconsistency in the returns make no sense at all to me

Re: Why isn't this working? LOOKUP can anyone help?

Hello & Welcome to the Forum,

How about in D9 copied down >> =HLOOKUP($D$8,$D$22:$F$26,ROW(A2),0)

    or in D9 copied down >> =INDEX($D$23:$F$26,MATCH($C9,$C$23:$C$26,0),MATCH(D$8,$D$22:$F$22,0))
