    Display current year in cell

Hi all, I am relatively new to Excel and to this forum and hope someone can help me out with this one.
I want to display and automatically update the current year only in a cell, e.g. 2013, so that I can use this cell to calculate and display the current age in years of several machines on my spreadsheets. Currently I just update the cell manually by typing in the year but this is a pain as there are several sheets.

    Thanks.

Re: Display current year in cell

Write =TODAY() and format cell as yyyy
or write =YEAR(TODAY()) and format cell as general

First will give you today date only formated to see year
Second will give you number 2013
