Equal a value in a cell from a different file but be able to move file to different folder

Hello,

Stuck on this problem when working on our server. I have two seperate excel files and need to equal a cell from file to another file. We move the file on a monthly basis so location changes. I have tried simple equal one cell to another and works fine but when I move file it doesnt calculate. I am not the most experienced on excel so any help would be much apprecited.

Hi Dayshelfadam,

Welcome to the forum.. as per my knowledge when you move the file, the file link will search for the source file and if not found it will give error.. there is no other method for this as Excel can not 'forecast' as to which server you would move the file thanks.
