Conditioning Formatting based on deadline dates

    Hi,

I am trying to set up conditioning formatting for different rules and my questions are as follows (and the worksheet is attached so you can can see what I have done).Test Formulas for CAR.xlsx

Q1: Once the dates have been inputted under column C (it will either change in green or orange), how can I get the existing red cells in column A to change to fill white cells automatically, because it's been actioned and closed?

Q2: When an Agreed Target Date has been extended, it will be entered in column F. How can I get the existing red cells in column A to fill white cells automatically, because it has been extended?

Q3: Also, how can I fill the existing red cells in column F to fill white cells automatically, when a date has been entered in column H, because it has been actioned and closed?

    Thanks,
    Claire

click on C4, go to conditional formatting then manage rules.

there is a range box with heading "applies to"

    change this to $A$4:$H$10.

this will mean the format that happens to the rule in C4 extends across the row from A4:H4

    Hi ProtonLeah,

For those forumulas you sent... would I need to create a new rule and which cells do I apply under?

    Thanks,
    Claire

The first formula is applied to column A and the second to column F, replacing the current conditional format formulas.
