Removing various different text, from varying length text strings

Hi,

I am wondering if anyone could help?

I have a list that looks like this (the data is copied in from an external source):

Prince Of Prophets (IRE) 1/2F
Twinwood Star (FR) 12/1
Lexi's Beauty (IRE) 12/1
Scoobys Girl (USA) 17/2
Her Royal Empress 7/1
Lady Calantha 20/1

I need to remove all the data past the names "(IRE) 1/2F" or just "20/1" as applicable, leaving one space at the end of the name.

This is because that is how the data in my database (which i am running a VLOOKUP to in a subsequent stage) is presented. It won't locate the value in the database unless it is presented exactly in this way :-(

actually additionally I'd also like to be able to remove any apostrophes that may occur in my copied lists too if anyone could possibly help? Thanks again!
