    Question Copy Formula

    I have 2 worksheets...with the same titles...Manufacturer, Product, Date

    Worksheet 1 lists every product
worksheet 2 lists certain products from worksheet 1

I want to somehow copy the date field from worksheet 1 onto worksheet 2...for that specific product

So basically if Worksheet 1 has a product listed on Worksheet 2 I want to copy the date from worksheet 1 onto worksheet 2.

I'm hoping someone can help as I haven't got a clue.

    Re: Copy Formula

You can use VLOOKUP. However, as you haven't attached your workbook or told us which cells/columns you are using for your data I can't suggest the formula that you need - please oblige.

    Question Re: Copy Formula

    Sorry about that...

    Worksheet 1

    Manufacturer Product Name Expiry Date
AGS COMPANY AIR TOOL ANTIFREEZE December 11, 2015
HENKEL (LOCTITE) 495 SUPER BONDER March 12, 2013
RECHOCHEM INC. 50/50 PREMIXED ANTIFREEZE February 14, 2014
HENKEL (LOCTITE) 565 THREAD SEALANT November 27, 2015

    Worksheet 2

    Manufacturer Product Name Expiry Date
AGS COMPANY AIR TOOL ANTIFREEZE December 11, 2015
TOPCO OILSITE API MODIFIED April 5, 2013
NORLAB BUMP GAS(4 PART MIX) January 18, 2013
SOUTH COAST PRO DESCO ARCTIC PAK February 28, 2015

Basically I want if the product name appears on worksheet 2 then I want the date field to automatically fill in instead of manually entering it into worksheet 2

    Re: Copy Formula

Put this in C2 of Sheet2:

    =IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B2,Sheet1!B:C,2,0),"")

Format that cell as a date, then copy down as far as you need to.

    Hope this helps.
