not every1 can open .png files, myself included. It would be far better if you could upload a sample of your file, showing what you have, and an example of your expected outcome. Thanks
To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

ok, 1st of all, change the formatting of the cells in column C to number, and not text.
then, in C2, copied down, use this...
=IF(B2=B1,I1+1,1)
C2: =COUNTIF(A$2:A2,A2)
Copy down
i think it's not working............
please see the result file...
Thankyou

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
Thanks.
Also, as a relatively new member of the forum, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of those who helped.
U may use this one also
in C2
=IF(B2=B1,C1+1,1)
