Vlookup and Calculating Issue - Please help me to speed this process up.

I am doing a lookup from one tab to another. The process is extremely slow. I am calculating on 4 processors. Is that necessary? If I hit the escape key, it "sometimes" stops the calculating process and leaves the lookup results. Can I trust the results? Is the calculating 4 processors a necessary process or is there a way to do it? What is the best way to be set up for this type of formula vlookup (6 column lookup into a 160K row/ 60 column spreadsheet)?
    Thank you.

How to attach a sample Excel workbook:

    1. Below the "Quick Reply" thread frame, click the "Go Advanced" button.
    2. On the edit toolbar, click the "Attachments" button.
    3. In the "File Upload Manager" window, click the "Add Files" button.
    4. In the "Upload Files from your Computer" window, click the "Select Files" button.
    5. In the Windows Explorer window, locate and select your workbook, then click the "Open" button.
    6. In the "Upload Files from your Computer" window, click the "Upload Files" button.
    7. In the "File Upload Manager" window, click the "Done" button (lower right of screen).

Unfortunately, this is my personal computer and the document I referencing is still calculating on my work computer. I also work at a Bank so I could not upload anything to a website without losing my job. I am only using this computer to be proactive for the next vlookup and I do not have excel or I would try to recreate a scenario. Its a basic lookup but its just a very large document. The calculating process is painful. Is it necessary?

Sometimes INDEX/MATCH is faster than VLOOKUP.
