Count Until Next Value Occurs

Let's try this again. I am re-posting because my original post title was not correct. I am trying to count the number of cells below the current cell until it reaches a specific value. Please see the attached for specific details and examples of what I'm trying to do. I'm not sure which function to use or how to go about this but the attachment explains the scenario. I searched online and cannot seem to find something similar enough to use in my situation.

If you don't mind using a macro to do this, I attached a workbook with a macro that should help you.
Like specified in the worksheet, you must select a specific cell in order for the macro to work properly. I did this because you can start the process wherever you want in your table as long as the active cell is one on the day column.
