    If formula

    I want a formula which should give me value "0" if a certain cell is "sunday", and should be equal to "9" if a certain cell is "saterday"

    you mean you type the word sunday or saturday in a cell ???

    you can do that with if
    =if(a1="sunday",0,if(a1="saturday",9,""))
