    Formula to solve for X

    Hello,

I'm looking for an excel solution to the following:

    1) there's 22 days average in a month
    2) that = 176 average working hours in a month (22*8)
    3) assuming averages above, I need 10 days expected to do something

    So if cell A1 = 22 days
    and if B1 = 176 hours
    cell C1 = 10<-----what formula goes here B1/"X"=10

But I need cell C1 to be a formula that calculates the expected "10", so if a month only has 15 days (due to holidays or vacation), the expected days to do this thing adjusts.

    So if cell A2 = 17 days
    then cell B2 = 102 hours (17*8)
cell C2 = the adjusted equivalent of cell C1<-----to get equivalent value here

    Try B1/17.6
    also 17*8 =136
so in that case the c2 becomes 7.73 when rounded to 2 decimal places

    Hope this helps

Sorry for the delayed response - I haven't been able to log on for a few days. That worked, and I was obviously way overthinking this one.

    Appreciate it.
