    Auto populate date

    Hello,

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching but couldn't find the answer. I have two columns: A and B. When A is filled then I need B to auto populate with the date and time.
I have tried "=IF(A="","",NOW())" but the issue here is that when I fill any field in A, it will set the entire sheet to the current date time.

Modify the range to fit your data. Close the Editor (no need to save, it's imbedded in your sheet)
Enter something in A2. Does that work for you?

It works perfect, but when I try to delete A2 then B2 and B3 gets all buggy.
Is there a way I can say if a delete happen then delete B2 as well instead of populating it with =Now()?
