I would like to create a conditional formatting rule so that when a cell (In column A) says 'grand total' I would like that row (up to column F) to be highlighted in bold. Is this possible considering the row may move around?
Thanks

hi ea223. select the range you want to apply to (i.e. A2:F10)
go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
=$A2="Grand Total"
Format the colour & bold it.

Hi, thank you for this. My 'grand total cell' may move around, is there a way to incorporate this into the formula so that it doesn't have to be linked to A2?
Thanks
