Index & Match with dynamic list of data : Retrieve data and classify by dates ?

Hi there
I have two sheets. On the first one I have one column with the dates and another one with the corresponding data.
In sheet2, I want to retrieve the data, depending on the dates I choose.
> I enter the dates in column A, then in B I have all the dates and in column C I have entries corresponding to the dates.
My pb is that I can't manage to find a formula that will handle the dynamic range (as depending on the dates for which I want to retrieve the data, the number of entries corresponding to the dates can be different, as the data..The "size" is constantly moving)

You can either try filtering the data or you could create a pivot table.

To add a filter, select all of your data, go to the Data tab and select "Filter". To create a pivot table, select the data that you want to sort, go to Insert and select pivot data. That will allow you to use the date as a filter on the pivot table to pull up all of the associated info for a particular date.

thanks for your help it works well for dates. But I am still struggling with the data (column C) to make them appear as well in th edynamic range. Thanks

nope it doesn t work, when I change the dates (the ones I choose column A), Ihave #NUM! in column B and C . Thanks anyway
