Quotations Database - Automation of counts using countif and/or sumproduct

    Hi All,

I'm new to the forum but looking around think I'll be spending a lot more time here.

This is quite a difficult request to make so have uploaded my file in the hope that some kind individual can fill in the formulas for me. I'd prefer to use formula as opposed to VB or other such code.

Problem: I have a quotations database. To ensure good discipline in my team recording the entries, I like to keep the data entry to a minimum and very linear in it's design. I've managed so far to use sumproduct to count the number of quotations per month and also count their status. I would now like to take this a step further and sum the values by month and by status. The blanks in the supplied dummy document make this clear I think. Tab Q1 is the data source, tab Q2 is where I need the magic to happen.

Can anyone please help? Dummy file should be attached to this post.

adds up anything marked as NEW, but adds up the entire column - I just need to specify that it only counts for the relevant month?

Mods, please delete, I know how to ask a more specific question now. I'll start a new thread.
