Excel formula or function for Depreciation schedule.

Good day everyone. I am currently working my depreciation schedule and I am looking for any function or formula that could help me in my schedule. the schedule must show the depreciation expenses of each and every asset of different category, for every particular year and its accumulated depreciation as well. And if possible a warning for every asset that is neering its end of life so I can easilly spot it and remove it on my schedule and transfer it somewhere else. I hope that someone could also help me have the schedule showing the depreciation expense per category for I need to make an entry of the total depreciation per asset account type, eg. Furniture & Fixture, Office Equip., etc.
