Using lookup to reference another cell??? I guess is how i explain that.

He guys. I'm trying to figure out the best possible way to do a lookup reference type situation here. I have five columns of numbers on one sheet in a book. In another book i have a column with numbers in it also that i use for reference. The formula will go in C1. Let's say i have 2 in B1. I need it to look and find reference 2 in the separate book. Say 2 is in B2 there, and the data I'm needing to go in C1 of the main book is in C2.
I'm still learning the lookups and really don't know if that's what i need to pull this off.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a bunch!!!
