    Formula Help

I am trying to create a weigh-in tracker. I want to enter in a starting weight and for each weigh in day enter in the new weight. Below each weigh in will be a cell to track how much weight was lost that particular day. The problem is that the next day's loss cell shows the previous days weight. It does not change until you enter in that days weight. ( example: A1=weight, A2=how much weight was lost, A3=next days weight, A4=how much weight was lost, A5=next days weight, A6=how much weight was lost). The formula I'm using is "A4=SUM(A1-A3)". The problem is when I do that, A6 will also show A4's value until a new weight is entered into A5. How can I make the cells below show a zero value?

    Sorry for the noob question...

See attached and the formulas in each of the cells. Copy them down. I think this is a better solution layout.

I like the layout, however I am still puzzled as to how to keep the rows below the first from populating until I enter in the weight. For example, if you remove the values from B3 and B4, you see that the values in column E are not accurate...thoughts?

"We would love to help you with your question, but 1st, please rename your thread to something more meaningful, that actually describes your problem. Many members will look at a thread title, and if it is of interest to them, or falls within their area of expertese, they might only open those threads. also, searching for ""help"" will not turn up too many results that will benifit you, sorry.

Look at it this way...if you typed that title into google, what would you expect to get back?

    Seriously???
Your not going to help me because you don't like my title???
Well never mind then...I'll find a forum with folks who are willing to help and not so stuck up on such petty nonsense....

We require useful thread titles so that the forum can be effectively searched by people trying to answer a similar question, so we don't have to answer the same questions every day.

Not all forums do -- feel free to find another.

That statement would have credence if you actually did answer the question rather than pick apart a simple thread with silly inane rabble. Whoever is moderating, you can remove me from this completely useless forum. It is quite clear to me that the members here would rather squabble about titles and such than actually help those with valid questions. It could be said that maybe they don't know the answer to my inquiry, in which case I'd rather they just say so from the start. Consider this my last response...
