Why are my VLookUp formuas populating backwards?

I am trying to use VLookUp in order to populate a particular cell with a specified entry based on the selection made in a drop down menu. For whatever reason, it's populating backwards!

Here is my table array below:

Entries in my drop down menu

0
5,000 or less
10,000 or less
20,000 or less
25,000 or less
35,000 or less
50,000 or less
100,000 or less
150,000 or less
200,000 or less
300,000 or less

What should populate in the specified cell
0
37,060
47,060
56,060
56,060
63,060
not available
not available
not available
not available
not available

But instead... when 0 is selected, it shows "not available" and when 300,000 or less is selected, it shows "0." Why is this going backwards?

Can you show your VLOOKUP function?

The cell it is populating is on a different sheet, but that is how I am doing it. It shouldn't say "=not available". It should say "37,080"

Nope that didn't work, but when I started to type that in I saw that =VLOOKUP(B17,Vlookups!$G$6:$H$16,2, ) does! Just mine the 1? Thanks!!!! Why would that be? Weird.

It is returning the value from that table in the picture.
Look at the picture below, same table as yours but in different cells. One thing i dont understand is why you have 2 values "56060"!

I figured out why. JUST FYI, since my entries in my drop down menu were...:

0
5,000 or less
10,000 or less
20,000 or less
25,000 or less
35,000 or less
50,000 or less
100,000 or less
150,000 or less
200,000 or less
300,000 or less

...Excel was taking the word "less" as the "less formula" and it was jumbling up all of my values each entry was supposed to populate.
