    find and replace function

    I have a lot (thousands) of photos address to find and replace

    for exampe I have multiple pictures in a site with the following
    <IMG src="http://myname/clothes/purses/lot300/304-a.jpg">
    <IMG src="http://myname/clothes/purses/lot300/304-b.jpg">
    <IMG src="http://myname/clothes/purses/lot300/304-c.jpg">
    and goes out to J...

    In the search I put in
    <IMG src="http://myname/clothes/purses/lot300/304-*.jpg">
    in the replace I put
    <IMG src="http://myname/clothes/purses/lot300/305-*.jpg">

    It does find and replace all the "4" to "5" but it also changes my "a" "b" "c" etc to the asterixs

    UGHHH

    Can this be fixed..
    Thanks, Will

    Re: find and replace function

    I don't have anything close to that to check this with, but maybe try something like this:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    or in the find/replace...highlight the data range, Find= 304-, replace with = 305-

    not sure how your data is set up, so giving exact Instructions is a little tough, but one of those, or variation of to fit your data, should work..

    Hope this helps

    Re: find and replace function

    Thanks ... another simple question... The multiple items to edit are all in one cell. I want to edit just the items in one cell. How do I select just one cell to edit?

    Thanks, Will
