put info next cell (column)

Hi. Here is the scenario I would like to get help:

column A: has bunch of data or info. I am looking for specific words like BEG. Once I located the BEG I would like to copy only the cell below it where it says PO1 (there may be 2 or 3 cells that contain PO1 - I would like to put them in Column B next to BEG. Each BEG should have PO1 info beside it (Column B). Please help. Thank you.

It will be good if you explain with the help of a sample file.

To Attach a File:

1. Click on Go Advanced
2. In the frame Attach Files you will see the button Manage Attachments
3. Click the button.
4. A new window will open titled Manage Attachments - Excel Forum.
5. Click the Browse... button to locate your file for uploading.
6. This will open a new window File Upload.
7. Once you have located the file to upload click the Open button. This window will close.
8. You are now back in the Manage Attachments - Excel Forum window.
9. Click the Upload button and wait until the file has uploaded.
10. Close the window and then click Submit.

Copy the Excel VBA code
Select the workbook in which you want to store the Excel VBA code
Hold the Alt key, and press the F11 key, to open the Visual Basic Editor
Choose Insert | Module
Where the cursor is flashing, choose Edit | Paste

To run the Excel VBA code:
Choose Tools | Macro | Macros
Select a macro in the list, and click the Run button

Based on your last post in this thread, its apparent that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received and have solved your question, but you haven't marked your thread as "SOLVED". I will do it for you this time.

Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Solved.

Incase your issue is not solved, you can undo it as follows -
Select Thread Tools-> Mark thread as Unsolved.

Thank you Arlu1201. I have another relevant scenario. instead of placing the numbers by column, is it possible to do it by row:

When I run the macro the numbers get placed from column B, C, D...
I would like to place it from column B, then goes down into next row or cell below and so on..
