Lookup Unique ID Then Count Values in Different Column

This board has been very, VERY helpful in the past. I've got a question that should be simple, but since it's Friday, my brain might be melting down a bit.

I've got a workbook that I use to track the time spent on chores/tasks around the house. There are two worksheets. The first is a list of Unique ID (UID) codes that with data that further explains what the code is for in the other columns. The pertinent value is in column A. The second sheet is a tracking list where I track specific incidents based on the UID with total number of minutes taken on each code. On this sheet, the UID is located in column A and the minutes are in column D. I am trying to lookup the UID from the first worksheet and in one column count how many incidents the UID is used for and in another column the total number of minutes. I've figured out a 'countif' for the total number of incidents a UID is used for, but I cannot figure out how to look up and then sum the total number of minutes used for each code.

I've attached a sample of what I'm working on.

If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll try to explain further.

Thank in advance for any assistance!

    Hi BoardGuy,

A simple Pivot Table will do what I think you want. See the attached.

Thanks for the responses. I used your recommendation, Ace. I knew it was something simple that I was just trying to make more difficult in my head.
