Count only unique values in pivot table

I have read multiple threads re this, but I cannot seem to apply the solution to my spreadsheet.

Attached is a sample of my data.

There are duplicate position numbers that need to stay in the master data sheet, however I only want to count them once in my pivot table.

any help is greatly appreciated!
