Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I need help.
I have an Excel 2007 file that has to become a .csv file when done to be used as a database for an e-commerce package. It's a list of Californial sales taxes and each record has the zip, county, city, tax rate, plus two fields that have to have either a "N" or "Y" for the e-commerce system.
The tax rate has to be formatted to show a 4-digit decimal for the percentage - i.e.: 8% would be 0.0800 and 9.75% would be 0.0975, etc.
I have over 2600 records that have to be updated. All the tax rates I originally entered have to be increased by .25% (or 0.0025)
How can I add the additional .25%, but not have the field have a formula so that the results will be a straight numeric value in the cell so that it will export to the .csv file as a pure 4-digit decimal number? Is there a macro that can be made to do this? I've never used macros and haven't the foggiest idea of how to create one. OR, is there an Excel menu option that I can use?
Please help!! Thank you.
