How to round to preset values in Excel?

    I have a calculated value, say 6.82
this value needs to get rounded to the next lowest number, the rounding values come from a table that increments by 0.0625

    ........
    ........
    0.6875
    0.75
    0.8125
    .........
    ..........
I need to subtract 0.0625 from the number first and then round it to the next lowest value

so since my number is 6.82

    it would be 6.82-0.0625=6.7575

and from 0.7575 the next lowest rounding value would be 0.75 from the list

so it would be rounded to 6.75

    is this possible?

    Maybe ...

    =floor(a1 - 1/16, 1/16)

    or

    =int(16*a1 - 1)/16
Entia non sunt multiplicanda sine necessitate
