    copying rank.eq

hi all i hope someone can help here, im currently making a workbook that contains numerous rank.eq functions say for example i make A1 =rank.eq(b1:b14,a1) when i use either copy and paste or the + function at the right bottom corner of cell A1 to drag and copy down the column, as expected it updates the formula for me to the corresponding cells but it also changes the B1:B14 by one as well so i still have to update all the cells manually.

does anyone know of a way round this to save me one hell of a lot of typing.

    many thanks in advance

    I assume you mean

    =rank.eq(a1,b1:b14)

You can use $ signs to achieve "absolute" references, i.e.

    =rank.eq(a1,b$1:b$14)
    Audere est facere
