    Post Array Column Designation

I have an EXCEL array of material stress values based upon material grades and operating temperatures.

I identify the Material Grade and the Operating Temperature in the Input Sheet of the Workbook. The Material Gradeis selected from a drop-down list corresponding to the six materials of the array. The Operating Temperature is a numerical input value, which in most cases is between given ranges, thus requiring interpolation. The VLOOKUP formula requires that I identify the temperature "TD", the Array "DATA!A1:G9, Column Number "???" and the Range. VLOOKUP requires that I must go into the array and identify the specific column number. I a formula(s) that can do this and develop the number. Example: if I identify SA-479 material at 500 ºF on my Input Sheet, I want the program to set the column number at 4, the row is set at 500 and the returned value is 18000. Is there another formula(s) that can perform these functions?

Sounds like a standard INDEX/Match/Match. See the attached example.
