    Number + Percentage

    Hello,

Please help me solve the following problem:
    I need to SUM these numbers, for example: 56,22 + 3,7 % = ?

Now, an a regular calculator the total is: 58,30 (014)
But on Excel, the SUM total is: 56,26

How can I make my Excel total to be exact the same as the one on my regular calculator (which I belive is the correct one)?
    Thank in advance!
    All the best!

    Hello DILIPandey,

    Thank you for your response.

I have a long list of numbers (wich represent prices) and a general 3,7 % Percentage I have to add to all of those numbers.
I inserted them manually in the table.

    I uploaded a sample.

    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Mona

    ..56,22 + 3,7 % = ?

Now, an a regular calculator the total is: 58,30 (014)
But on Excel, the SUM total is: 56,26

    =A2+(A2*B2)

    This gives you, 58,30

    Re: Number + Percentage

    HI Mona,

You are adding a number and a percentage.. but ideally you should be adding the number and the percentage result i.e., again a number.

As Fotis, suggested you can use a formula like :- =A2+A2*B2.
