Vlookup with next highest value

HI i have been struggling to find an answer for this issue:
i have one column of figures:
A1
300
600
900
1200
1500
I want to use VLOOKUP in Cell B1 to find the NEXT highest Value (from Column A1).
so if i enter in B1 the value 400 as a search criteria, is should return 600 the NEXT highest Number in Cell C1.
I hope there is a simple answer.
Can anybody help me here?

i get an error when copying this into Cell C1 (highlighting the second A,MATCH) the formular you type contained an error.
Looks right to me... any ideas?

Perhaps your regional settings are set to semi colon ; instead of a comma , ?

=INDEX(A:A;MATCH(B1;A:A;1)+1) this worked fine and my Issue is solved.
